FAQs

Will the Rod Rig fit in my vehicle?

The Rod Rig fits in most crossovers, hatchbacks, wagons, vans, SUVs and truck toppers. There are however two criteria we recommend you check to make sure it will fit well. The first is that your trunk side windows are at least 6” wide by 8” tall. The second is the interior width of your trunk side windows is between 50” and 72”. Window antenna lines or defrost lines will not prevent the Rod Rig from properly attaching to your windows. If you still are unsure if the Rod Rig will fit in your vehicle, feel free to reach out to us via the Contact Us tab, or on social media!

How long does it take to install?

The Rod Rig installs in under 60 seconds with no tools or fasteners necessary.

What type of reels and what length of rods can the Rod Rig hold?

The Rod Rig is designed to fit fly fishing rods, inshore spinning rods, baitcast rods and even spincast rods. There is 6.5” of space between the holders to fit your reel, or the reel can sit behind the holders.

The length of rod you can fit depends on the length of the interior roofline of your vehicle. For a rod longer than your roofline, that is multiple piece construction, you can take it apart and fit the front portion in the rod rig next to your handle.

Can I keep my fishing rod in the Rod Rig at all times?

Sure! It is designed to hold your rod indefinitely so you are always ready for that side of the road pond that has your PB! However, be conscious that the Rod Rig may begin to indent softer handles if left in the same position for weeks on end.

Can I leave the Rod Rig up year round?

Yes! Just give your vacuum cups a pump every once in a while or if you notice the warning line showing. This maintains a strong connection to the window!

Is there a Warranty?

Yes! We love our product and we want you to as well. There is a lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship. See our warranty page for more info!
